We had our wedding cake made here and it was nothing short of fabulous. The canolli cake is moist, creamy, and all our guests raved about it for months after the wedding was over. If you don't like Josephs policy, that the customer is not always right, don't come here! I've been consistently enjoy his quality products since I was a little girl and I will always come back. This is a staple if you are visiting Deerfield Beach, a true gem not to be missed.

Joseph's is a staple for my family year after year for our Italian cookie fix. It reminds us of the Italian bakeries in Boston, and New York. Not a lot has changed over the years, and that's just fine by us. Joseph's has a whole showcase of quality products. Cannolis, champagne cookies, tri-colors, biscotti, pignoli cookies. Trust me. Get a box, and you'll be crooning like Frankie and Dino. A box of mixed is perfect for bringing TO the beach or bring back FROM the beach. (OR BOTH)... (Or bringing back to Texas in your check-in.. Thank you TSA for not stealing even one of my cookies. I know the temptation must have been hard). Don't go to Josephs and expect something fancy -- they are what they say they are, no more, no less and they deliver quality every time.

My mom and I were up in the area and drove by this place and figured we needed to try a bakery. We got a few different pastries to have a variety of new items. Unfortunately they tasted stale and old. My linzer cookie tasted like it had gotten freezer burn and then defrosted and put in the counter. The other cookies were dry and over baked. I was disappointed with all the items we got. The place is super tiny and the lady behind the counter was not much help for recommendations on what was good or popular. The feeling was more just pick something and pay so I can get back to whatever I was doing. I would try other bakeries in the area before I would go back.

FIVE STARS. Amazing sflogiatelle and lobster tails. Biscotti, pignoli nut cookies, macaroons. I havnt sprung for the cannoli cake yet but I cannot wait. That cake is a beautiful sight.

Found this place by accident, a hidden gem! We were curious since a lot of people was inside. A nice aroma hits you as soon as you open the door, the place is small, not many places to stand in line or wait but a lady coming out told us it was worth the wait so we did. There was many baked goods to choose from on both side of the register. We got two large cannoli, also got some cream puff (custard inside). It was delicious!!! Not too sweet, just right. Can't wait to be in the area again. They take credit card as long as you spend over 10 dollars.

Just got back from our yearly visit to Fla. Of course we went to Joseph's and got Cannoli and cookies. I don't know where the control came from but we managed to get the cookies home to CA. They only lasted a day after that - YUM. I'm glad to say everything is still wonderful. Thank you!!!!

Shopped today at Joseph's Italian Pastry Shop for the first time. Wow - what a great place. Italian pastries and cookies just like I remember from home. Even had the Italian Easter treats.... Couldn't wait to get home to try some of them. This is a great place, and unlike some of the other Italian pastry stores (i.e., Pane e Dolci) their prices are very fair.

Come here and do whatever it takes to try the Cannoli Cake, i'm not sure if they sell it by the slice, if they do get that but if not buy the whole damn cake, its that good. It's really really moist and is made with just the right amount of whatever kind of liquor they use, and its filled with a generous amount of cannoli cream and surrounded by almonds, for the topping you can get cream or cannoli shell pieces, and there's a mini cannoli to top it off, great tasting cake and very well made, I'd recommend it for even the most special occasion. I've had the rainbow cookies a while back and I don't remember them being all that great, but I'd give them another shot. The shop itself is a legit mom/pop joint and it definitely has the feel of a NY style Italian bakery.

This is an ol' fashioned Italian bakery, much like the ones I grew up with in NY----complete with the red and white striped string used to wrap the boxes----the bakery just oozes authenticity. By the way the owner, has his mom in New Jersey ship the string, since it is not sold here. That attention to detail and keeping things done a certain way is probably one of the characteristics that make this such a great bakery. The cookies were absolutely delicious, however you CANNOT leave without the cannoli's which were some of the best I have ever had. Seriously, they are a must try and a good enough reason to travel here if you are looking to impress or treat some good friends to an extra special desert. "Leave the gun, take the cannoli"

HOLY CANNOLI! And connoli cakes, italian cookies, breads...etc. This is the fist, most authentic Italian bakery I have found in my 6 years of living in Broward since moving from a very Italian NY Metro area. The smell inside this place is INTOXICATING. I was going to a get together with some fellow former New Yorkers and Italians when I thought to stop in for cookies and mini cannolis. We all agreed that we haven't had anything this good since we were kids. If only they would hook a direct line of cannoli filling to my veins... It's located in an otherwise lifeless old shopping center but there is plenty of parking and the cannolis in particular are piped to order. I cannot recommend this super old school bakery enough!
